Sometimes there is something that lifts the spirit - what you are doing is just that ! The philosophy of 'do no harm' embodied.

Hi Joost,
Was thrilled to see you and the restaurant on Masterchef the other night. I'm a Sydneysider but have been to the Greenhouse restaurant in Perth many times and loved it! Can't wait for you to set up permanently in Sydney so I can get there more often and enjoy some sustainable and delicious flood with flavour. Look forward to seeing more of you soon :)

Hi Leah, wow! what a huge compliment! and thank you so much for getting in touch.
Whilst the recent Sydney Greenhouse by Joost was temporary - we are in discussions to find more permanent locations both in Sydney and Melbourne. We have a permanent Greenhouse in Perth where all the food is prepared in line with our philosophies of fresh, seasonal and 'whole' foods. Respect for the ingredients and the way our food is grown is what the greenhouse is all about.
We would love you to subscribe to our mailing list via this website so we can keep you posted of new developments. We hope you can visit one of our upcoming restaurants in the near future.
Thanks once again for your interest in the Greenhouse by Joost - and for saying hi!

Hi. I just wanted to say , that after 3 years of watching masterchef, all their famous chefs and fancy restaurants. As well as browsing through all my husband's elite cook books ( he is a fine dinning chef and has worked with some top notch names) I have never once , been inspired to go to any of these places or eat any of their food - until now. Watching you guys on masterchef last night was truly exciting, followed by dissapointment to know it was only a temporary venture... I dont even like sydney but was keen to travel, just to dine at 'greenhouse'!
Thank you for what you have done and i hope to see more of it in the future. : )
cheers, leah b

A concept which I have applied and you can apply to your daily life.
Unfortunately some of our councils still live too much in the dark ages and like to hide behind the red tapes.
I do hope that images and movies of this kind of building style and way of life, with the media attention it generates will convince even the most backwards thinking person that it is after all so bloody simple.....

We visited Greenhouse while we were in Sydney last month, having watched it being constructed at the waterside a few days earlier. What would it be? Some kind of art installation? Delighted to have found such a unique way of eating out, we dragged a friend along who has recently moved to the city. We were not disappointed. Although the food arrives in a random, Tapas bar kind of fashion, it was all beautifully prepared and cooked - although eating wagu beef with wooden cutlery is a little awkward, it was a good excuse to connect with the inner child and eat with our fingers! The staff were wonderfully quirky, friendly and enthusiastic. I can't wait for you to visit London later on this year, and observe what the English will make of it.
